Well it looks like I can dump NT4 πŸ™‚ I thought I would have to keep it around so I could use my flat bed scanner. It seems that Umax US are dicks. For details on this see The register.co.uk After a few clicks I found the windows 2000 driver for my umax 610P.

Nikon are not doing much better here is their response to a support email I sent them

“Please contact your local Nikon representative for support with this
product. We are unable to help anyone outside of the USA because we
have an obligation to our customers within the USA whose purchases
support this service.”

Emmm, I bought the scanner in the US and I live in the US so F…. You πŸ™‚ What do people say about making assumptions

My tivo now has a 45 and an 80 gig hard drive 150ish recording hours in basic and 40 hours in best quality πŸ™‚ I also have tivoweb and telnet to the box working again after the software upgrade a few weeks back

While making an appointment to see a doctor yesterday i was asked a very disturbing question “Are you a citizen”. Anyone know if this is legal. On asking why they said it has been on there screen since 9/11.

www.projectphotos.net is almost online. It looks like the dns has kicked in. Now if only I could remember the password for the ftp account so I could upload my latest photos. I still have to recode projectphotos.com to handle multiple picture sources but that shouldn’t be too hard.
