Which cellphone to get?
I am starting to look at buying a new cell phone to replace my company issued nextel.
Things I would like
For it to work in my apartment (nextel wasn’t very good on this). Verzion works in my apartment. This might not be a big issue in the near future
To be able to receive short email messages on my phone. I used to have the sender and the subject of emails sent to my nextel. From what I have read ATT allows unlimited incoming text messages
Numeric paging. I have an answering machine that can send a page on a voice message being left. (ATT has this)
PC Connection. It would be really cool if I could connect a laptop or PDA to a cell phone and dial an ISP and pull and push email from my home network. I know cellphones are not fast but I should be able to connect using IMAP and see what messages are waiting.
Vibrate Ring
Head Phone socket
Small size, the nextel i1000 was a little too big for my liking.

Any ideas what the difference between a 3360($99.99) and 8260($179.99)? It looks like the 3360 has more features like infra red and PC connections, so why is the 8260 more expensive?

Verizon doesn’t seem to have nice looking cell phones.

So what are your experiences with different cellphone companies?

I found out last night that my fat and fluffy friend in the UK died.

I don’t feel bad about it, he died with a full belly after sleeping all day.

Interesting Article on H1b Visas One thing to note is that someone on an H1b pays tax and social security but can’t claim unemployment benefit or social security unless they become a permanent resident aka green card.

I went to the newseum today in Arlington. I went to go look at the Women Photographers Exhibit, but I didn’t know they have a September 11th exhibit as well. They have more than just the front page headlines on the web site. They also have Bill Biggart’s Camera and camera bag on display. All the film photos were destroyed but his digital images survived. I would have thought this would have upset me but the display that upset me the most was the widescreen TV playing local news covered at the pentagon. I remember watching this in operation center at my former company. They played the segment where everyone was told by the police that there is another plane coming in and everybody had to move back. I remember looking out the window wondering if I would see it fly past, wondering where it was going to hit. People say they remember where they were when Kennedy was shot. I think I will remember where I was when I first heard the world trade center had collapsed.
